Prior to the previous LCA published in 2018, there has been some improvements in the Policy and also in the infrastructure. 

The renovation for the Faleolo Airport was completed in 2019, and there has been some major work in other sectors. The major setbacks were the COVID-pandemic, it affected the global economy, and it also affected the Pacific region. 

There are some planned upgrades to the Faleolo Airport, include warehouses and cool chain storage. The dates for completion have not been confirmed.
