Airport Overview
Lashio Airport is in Shan State. The runway is good and it runs from North to South. There are five airlines which operate in the Lashio airport; Myanmar National Airlines, Air KBZ, Air Thanlwin, Mann Yadanarpon Airlines, and Golden Myanmar Airlines. There are no international airlines and air ambulance flight for medical evacuation. There are regular daily flights operated by various airlines up to five to seven times per day. The routes of the flight run from Lashio to Yangon, Mandalay, Heho, Kengtung, Tachilek. There is no designated helipad in place. However, it can be arranged on apron for chartered flight. No cargo handling equipment facilities in this airport. The largest plane that can be handled are 75-seat planes such as ATR-72. The runway is made of asphalt concrete and strength (PCN) is approximately 23 MT.
