Taplejung Airport, also known as Suketar Airport is in Suketar, Taplejung Koshi Province. It is 4kms due east of district HQ at Taplejung and 8 Km from Phungling Bazaar. The airport serves as a gateway to Kanchanjanga Conservation Area and the famous Pathivara Temple thus is a very important destination for tourist movement. It is linked by air with Chandragadhi and Kathmandu with all weather serviceability. In 2020 it had 248 aircraft movements and 2,083 passengers and 30 kg of cargo.The runway was blacktopped in 2016.
