Port Overview
The Port of Lipata is one of the four (4) Ferry Terminals under the Eastern Nautical Highway—the Roll-on, Roll-Off ports and highway system built in the Philippines to connect the Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao main island groups. Serving as a hub to two spoke ferry terminals (namely the ports of Liloan and San Ricardo, all in Southern Leyte), the Port of Lipata has three RORO ramps, one RORO berth and one specialized steel ramp.
As of 28 Apr 2022, only three RORO ramps were operational. Two RORO ramps were damaged by Typhoon Rai's (Odette in the Philippines) onslaught on 16 Dec 2021.
